The Reverend Dr. James A. McKibbin is the senior minister at Hyde Park Christian Church. He has an extensive background of study in psychology, theology, pharmacology, addictions, grief/loss training, conflict resoulution management, and devotion to Christ.
He has an undergraduate degree in Science, Psychology and Philosophy (BS) from Manchester University. He has a graduate degree in Theology and Christian Education (MDIV) from the Associated Mennonite Seminaries in Elkhart, Indiana along with a post graduate degree in Counseling, Theory, and Practice (Psy/D).
He obtained a fellowship in the Pauline Letters at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana and a residency in clinical pastoral education at the Farmington State Hospital in Farmington, Missouri. He became a licensed Reality Therapist at the Reality Therapy Institute in San Bernardino, California. He worked as a Grief/Loss Therapist at Vitas Health Care Corporation in Miami, Florida. He is also an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). His extensive experience includes being a pastor, educator, clinician, program development specialist, and a national motivational lecturer.
