Originally from Rosenberg, Margaret graduated from Sam Houston State University in Summer 2007 with her Bachelor Degree in Mass Communications - Public Relations. She may be new to Hyde Park Christian Church but she is no stranger to the church.

She became a Christian when she was 14 years old.  Margaret served the Lord at her church as a children's church teacher, usher, singer, youth leader, and servant of Christ. During that time Margaret attended Texas Bible Institute for two years. 

She married Luis Macias on New Years Day in 2008, at the age of 28. Margaret and her husband relocated to Austin in the summer of 2008. She later plans to become a teacher and would love to open a small food establishment with her husband.
